A few weeks ago ROGERS tv contacted us after receiving our media release about The Ten Collective show. We were invited to appear on Daytime Ottawa on March 22, 2018. Of course we would. What a great way to promote the show and the artists!

We were asked to supply questions that our host would ask us. We knew the interview was only 6-8 minutes, so we prepared a few questions that we thought would be interesting and important to the viewer.

Waiting in the Green Room. Within five minutes we were surrounded by people who were going to be interviewed as well. Time for each interview: 6-8 minutes!

The setup was very fast, and the two young girls who took care of us were so professional and pleasant. After some time in the Green Room we were hustled onto the set where just 60 seconds before they wrapped up a previous interview. We were already mic'd so we quickly stood behind the counter that was wheeled over while we entered the room, quickly placed a few paintings, and suddenly the countdown started. Just over six minutes later we were done! We got as much as we could into that time to share about the show and where it was being held. Following our "script" didn't happen after the first minute but it sure was fun and we appreciate ROGERs tv for helping us promote the show.

Hamming it up - of course!

The one segment we couldn't get in the interview was about the museum and Almonte. This is some of what we wanted to include:

The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum is a national historic site and the venue for the show is quite beautiful. The museum is opening for free on that weekend only, so you can see their exhibit as well as The Ten Collective show. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from our main street, and there’s lots of parking at the museum as well.

Almonte
•  Top small town destinations in Canada, most charming, etc: Expedia/CTV/Trip Advisor/Montreal Blog/Inside Ottawa Valley/Cottage Life
• Strong and inspiring arts & culture community as well as a very friendly, welcoming and supportive town.

• Easter weekend destination: beautiful falls, antique stores, really good restaurants, unique clothing and gift stores (Gilligallou, Blackbird, Vamos, Peche & Poivres, Tea & Cake ~ pretty much any one of the businesses on our main street ~
• At the show we’re giving away 2 for 1 coupons for breakfast at Fulton’s Sugar Bush, and there may be a few other surprises as well in support of local businesses.
