Marina’s current body of work is based on a reconnection with her maternal roots. Visions of the Canadian Shield, the Great Lakes, and Northern Ontario are expressed in deep hues, punctuated with intense highlights. There is an uncanny sense of expectation amidst the ancient geological forms. An occasional campfire or shack evokes the temporality of our place in nature.
